Breakfast Croissant Sandwiches

Breakfast Croissant Sandwiches

Flaky, buttery croissants filled with fluffy eggs, melty cheese, and savory breakfast meats—these breakfast croissant sandwiches are the ultimate grab-and-go morning treat. Perfect for busy weekdays or a cozy weekend brunch, they’re easy to customize and irresistibly delicious.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

4 large croissants (halved)

4 large eggs

4 slices bacon (or sausage patties or ham)

4 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or American)

2 tbsp butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: sliced avocado, spinach, tomato, or hot sauce

Instructions

Cook the Meat

In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon or sausage until crispy and fully cooked. Set aside.

Prepare the Eggs

In the same skillet, melt butter.

Crack eggs into the pan and cook to your preference (fried, scrambled, or folded omelet-style).

Season with salt and pepper.

Warm the Croissants

Lightly toast croissants in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes for extra crispness.

Assemble the Sandwiches

Layer egg, cooked meat, and cheese onto the bottom half of each croissant.

Add optional toppings if desired.

Melt & Finish

Place assembled sandwiches in the oven for 2–3 minutes until cheese melts.

Top with the croissant lid and serve warm.

Notes

Cooking Tips

  • Use bakery croissants: Fresh, flaky croissants elevate the flavor and texture.
  • Don’t overcook eggs: Soft, slightly creamy eggs taste best in sandwiches.
  • Pre-cook for meal prep: Assemble and wrap in foil, then reheat for quick breakfasts.
  • Add a spread: Try mayo, honey mustard, or garlic aioli for extra flavor.
  • Keep warm in oven: If serving a crowd, keep sandwiches warm at low heat (200°F).

Variations

  • Healthy Version: Use turkey bacon, egg whites, and whole wheat croissants.
  • Veggie Option: Skip meat and add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, and peppers.
  • Spicy Kick: Add pepper jack cheese and a drizzle of hot sauce or sriracha.
  • Sweet & Savory: Add a touch of honey or maple syrup with bacon.
  • Breakfast Brunch Style: Add avocado slices and a fried egg with runny yolk.
