Ingredients
1 large green cabbage
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Optional toppings: grated Parmesan, fresh parsley, balsamic glaze, lemon juice
Instructions
Prep the Cabbage:
Remove any loose outer leaves. Slice the cabbage into ¾–1-inch thick rounds (steaks), keeping the core intact to hold them together.
Season:
Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
Air Fry:
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Place cabbage steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
Cook:
Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until edges are golden brown and slightly crispy while the center is tender.
Serve:
Top with Parmesan, fresh herbs, lemon juice, or a drizzle of balsamic glaze if desired. Serve warm.
