Notes
Cooking Tips
-
Fresh pineapple gives the best caramelization and flavor.
-
Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking from the teriyaki glaze.
-
Toasting the buns helps prevent sogginess from the sauce.
-
For extra flavor, mix 1–2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce directly into the beef.
Variations
-
Hawaiian Style: Add ham or bacon under the pineapple.
-
Spicy Kick: Use spicy teriyaki or add sliced jalapeños.
-
Chicken Version: Swap beef for ground chicken or grilled chicken breasts.
-
Plant-Based: Use a veggie or plant-based patty with the same toppings.
-
Low-Carb: Skip the bun and serve over grilled cabbage or lettuce wraps.
