Salsa Trio

This Salsa Trio is a vibrant, crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring three bold flavors in one easy spread: classic tomato salsa, creamy avocado salsa, and sweet-smoky mango salsa. Perfect for parties, taco nights, or game day, it delivers color, freshness, and variety with minimal effort.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings (about 2 tablespoons of each salsa per serving) 1x

Ingredients

Classic Tomato Salsa

2 cups diced tomatoes (Roma or vine-ripened)

1/4 cup finely diced red onion

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Creamy Avocado Salsa

2 ripe avocados, diced

2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons finely diced red onion

1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

1/4 teaspoon salt

Mango Salsa

1 1/2 cups ripe mango, diced

1/4 cup diced red bell pepper

2 tablespoons diced red onion

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Tomato Salsa: In a bowl, mix tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, salt, and garlic powder. Stir gently and set aside.

Avocado Salsa: Mash avocados lightly, then fold in sour cream, lime juice, red onion, cilantro, and salt until creamy but chunky.

Mango Salsa: Combine mango, red bell pepper, red onion, lime juice, cilantro, and salt in a separate bowl.

Serve: Arrange all three salsas in individual bowls and serve with tortilla chips, pita chips, or fresh veggies.

Notes

Cooking Tips

  • Use very ripe avocados for the creamiest texture.

  • Drain excess liquid from tomatoes to prevent watery salsa.

  • Chill the salsas for 10–15 minutes before serving for best flavor.

  • Add lime juice just before serving to keep colors bright and fresh.

Variations

  • Spicy Trio: Add extra jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce to each salsa.

  • Roasted Salsa: Use roasted tomatoes, peppers, or mango for deeper flavor.

  • Pineapple Swap: Replace mango with pineapple for a tropical twist.

  • Dairy-Free Avocado Salsa: Omit sour cream and add extra lime juice instead.
