Notes
Cooking Tips
-
Use 80/20 ground beef for maximum juiciness.
-
Don’t press the patties while cooking—this keeps them juicy.
-
For extra flavor, toast buns in the burger drippings.
-
Thicker chili works best to avoid soggy buns.
Variations
-
Bacon Chili Cheeseburger: Add crispy bacon strips under the chili.
-
Spicy Version: Use pepper jack cheese and spicy chili.
-
Turkey Chili Cheeseburger: Swap beef for turkey patties and turkey chili.
-
Low-Carb Option: Serve in lettuce wraps instead of buns.
-
BBQ Chili Cheeseburger: Mix a tablespoon of BBQ sauce into the chili before topping
