1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)

1 tsp salt

Toast the Buns:
Lightly toast buns cut-side down until golden.
Assemble:
Spread sauce on the bun, add lettuce, burger patty, avocado slices, tomato, onion, and top bun.
Serve Immediately:
Enjoy hot with fries, sweet potato wedges, or a fresh salad.

Notes

Cooking Tips

  • Use ripe but firm avocados so they hold their shape.

  • Don’t overwork the beef—gentle handling keeps burgers tender.

  • Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.

  • Season patties just before cooking for the best texture.

Variations

  • Bacon Avocado Burger: Add crispy bacon strips.

  • Spicy Avocado Burger: Use pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo.

  • Turkey Avocado Burger: Swap beef for ground turkey (93% lean).

  • Veggie Avocado Burger: Use a black bean or plant-based patty.

  • California-Style: Add sprouts and a squeeze of lemon over the avocado.
