  • Total Time: 18-20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Salmon Bites

1 1/2 lbs salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt & black pepper, to taste

Honey Soy Glaze

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

3 tbsp honey

1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)

1 tsp fresh grated ginger

1 tsp minced garlic

1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thicker glaze)

Optional Garnish

Sesame seeds

Sliced green onions

Instructions

Preheat Air Fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Season Salmon: In a bowl, toss salmon cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Air Fry: Arrange salmon in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until cooked through and lightly crisp.

Make Glaze: While salmon cooks, combine soy sauce, honey, vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a small saucepan. Simmer 2–3 minutes. Add cornstarch slurry if a thicker glaze is desired.

Glaze & Serve: Toss hot salmon bites with the honey soy glaze. Garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

Cooking Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches for maximum crispness.

  • Use center-cut salmon: It cooks more evenly than tail pieces.

  • Extra caramelization: After glazing, return salmon to the air fryer for 1–2 minutes.

  • Easy cleanup: Line the basket with perforated parchment made for air fryers.

Variations

  • Spicy Honey Soy: Add 1–2 tsp sriracha or chili crisp to the glaze.

  • Garlic Butter Finish: Toss glazed salmon with a small pat of melted butter.

  • Teriyaki Style: Replace honey with brown sugar and add ½ tsp sesame oil.

  • Low-Carb: Swap honey for a sugar-free honey alternative.
