Air Fryer Potstickers are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a quick and delicious appetizer, snack, or light meal. Using the air fryer gives these dumplings a perfectly golden, crunchy wrapper without deep frying. Whether you’re using store-bought frozen potstickers or homemade dumplings, this method delivers restaurant-style results in minutes with minimal oil and cleanup.

  • Total Time: 13–15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings (about 56 potstickers per serving) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

20-24 frozen potstickers (pork, chicken, shrimp, or vegetable)

1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil spray

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional for extra flavor)

Optional Dipping Sauce

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon chili oil or chili flakes

1 teaspoon honey or sugar

1 teaspoon finely sliced green onions

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.

Prepare the Potstickers
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place frozen potstickers in a single layer in the basket. Do not overcrowd.

Add Oil
Lightly spray or brush the potstickers with olive oil to help them crisp.

Air Fry
Cook at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The wrappers should become golden brown and crispy.

Serve
Transfer potstickers to a serving plate and serve immediately with dipping sauce.

Notes

Cooking Tips

Don’t overcrowd the basket
Air needs to circulate around the potstickers to crisp them properly.

Spray lightly with oil
A small amount of oil helps the wrapper turn golden and crunchy.

Shake halfway through cooking
This ensures even crisping on all sides.

Check at 8 minutes
Different air fryer models cook slightly differently, so check early to avoid over-browning.

Variations

Garlic Chili Potstickers
Toss cooked potstickers in a quick sauce made with chili oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, and honey.

Sesame Ginger Potstickers

Potsticker Bowl
Serve crispy potstickers over jasmine rice with shredded cabbage, carrots, cucumber, and drizzle with sesame sauce.
